Having had a puppy myself, I know all about how hard it can be to concentrate on work when there's someone biting your toes at the same time. I have written 3 pieces of advice that worked for me and my puppy. These tips can certainly be useful even if your dog is an adult.
A good walk before work
Get some good playtime and go for a walk with your puppy. Make sure your puppy is stimulated before you start the day's work.
A tired dog is a quiet dog.
Long-lasting toys and chews
Toys and chews can be the easiest way to keep your puppy occupied, even when you don't have time to play with them.
We recommend trying an activity ball with treats in it, or with some wet food smeared on it. You can also put wet food in an activity ball and put it in the freezer.
A good chew snack can also keep your puppy occupied for a long time. As a general rule, you shouldn't leave your puppy alone with hard chews like pig's ears, etc. but they can have them as long as you keep half an eye on them so you can help them if they choke. Please note that not all types of chews are appropriate for pups and that too many chews can give your puppy an upset stomach.
Give your puppy the toy or chew when you start your work and not only when it wants to chew your toes or otherwise demands your attention.
Procedures
Many dogs find comfort in routines - so try to make room for some set routines. For example, a walk at the same time every day at midday. Or a 5-minute training session at the same time every day.
