Winter must-haves for you and your dog

Life as a dog owner means lots of fresh air and walks every day - and winter is no exception.

However, the cold and wet weather can make walking a bit of a chore. Luckily there are lots of products that can make life as a dog owner in winter a little easier (and make winter better for your dog too).

1. Paw wax

The road salt used in winter can be a painful experience for your dog. The salt can dry out the paws and cause cracks or wounds in the pads.

It's important to apply preventative paw wax to your dog's paws before heading out for a cold walk on salty roads.

The paw wax makes the pads more supple and resistant to the salt and reduces the risk of painful cuts and scratches.

2. Snout wax

Just as human hands can become drier in winter, the cold temperatures can also dry out your dog's nose. With snout wax, you can prevent and protect your dog's snout in winter. The stick makes it easy to apply the wax and you can easily carry it in your pocket on your walk.

3. Dog jacket

Small dogs, dogs without undercoat and older dogs especially benefit from a warm blanket in winter. A chilled dog will catch a cold more quickly and may lose the desire to go outside.

4. Dog sweater
