5 products every dog owner should have in their drawer

There are a lot of things you need for your dog. You’ll need food, poop bags, snacks, etc. But we know you’ve already got those products covered.

This blog post introduces 5 products that you don’t use on a daily basis, and may not have thought about, but which are indispensable in case of an accident. These are products that all the girls in Hunni have recognized as the most important ones to have in the dog drawer at home.

1. Canikur Pro – first aid for an upset stomach

Even the healthiest and strongest dog gets an upset stomach/diarrhea from time to time. It is very good to have something on hand that can help your dog’s stomach get back on track right away. Canikur Pro is a diet with pre- and probiotics that strengthens your dog’s intestinal flora and relieves upset stomachs.

As an extra tip, we recommend keeping Lily’s Kitchen Recovery wet food on hand. It’s a canned meal that is very gentle and comforting for your dog’s stomach. Remember, there should be plenty of fresh water available for your dog to avoid dehydration.

2. Tick remover

Ticks are rarely thought of until you see the little buggers on your dog or yourself.
Although ticks are rarely dangerous to dogs, they should be removed as soon as possible. This is because the most common dangerous diseases that the tick can transmit are only transmitted after it has been attached for more than 2 days.
You can also prevent ticks by spraying with tick spray or giving your dog a tick cure – see more anti-tick products here:

3. Electrolyte drink

If your dog has an upset stomach or is simply dehydrated from the heat, an electrolyte drink is a great tool to have in the drawer. Electrolytes are, to put it simply, salts that help bind fluid. Not only do they make your dog thirsty, but they also bind the liquid your dog drinks so that it doesn’t dehydrate.

4. Shampoo

Not all dogs need to be bathed frequently, so not all dog owners have dog shampoo in their drawer. This is an error. Because the vast majority of dogs find great satisfaction in “perfuming themselves” with disgusting things, such as feces, rotten things and dead animals.

Dog shampoos have a completely different PH value than human shampoos, so it’s good to have dog shampoo in your drawer for when your dog decides it needs to smell really “nice”.

5. Aptus relax

Aptus Relax is a natural stress reliever that is given as a treat and takes effect after 30 minutes.

Many people introduce Aptus in connection with New Year and fireworks, where many find that the dog stresses. But you can easily use Aptus Relax in other contexts. It is simply a stress reliever that does not stun or otherwise disturb your dog. So if you have a dog that gets anxious around guests, isn’t a fan of being left alone at home, or has another challenge related to their stress levels, we recommend keeping Aptus Relax in your drawer.
