Thundershirt – a calming vest for your dog

Thundershirt is a vest that provides gentle pressure on your dog's head muscles, which can have a calming effect on the nervous system - the same principle as ball and weighted blankets.

Studies show that the vest helps 80% of dogs that experience insecurity, restlessness or stress. It can be used for dogs that become restless during thunder, fireworks, visitors or other situations where stress occurs.

The effect is often seen immediately, but some dogs need 3-4 times before the effect is optimal.

It is recommended to try the vest while the dog is calm so that it does not associate it with discomfort. Thundershirt also suggests getting the dog used to the vest by letting it encounter it in conjunction with treats – for example, by putting treats on the vest so the dog eats them from there.
