For those of you who have questions about the delicious care products from Nocat Studio.
There is no such thing as the perfect product for everyone – or in this case, for every dog. It’s all about choice. When it comes to sustainability, what’s most important? That it’s all organic, with the risk of something going to waste because it goes bad? That the packaging is made of recyclable plastic – or completely plastic-free? Or that the product is produced close to you? As a brand, we make choices every day and consider many options before developing a product. Some choices will make perfect sense to you, while others may require a little more explanation.

Why are there warning labels on Nocat shampoo and conditioner?
If our products were for humans, warning symbols would not have been necessary, as they would then fall under the European Cosmetics Regulation from 2013. Our products could even achieve some of the strictest certificates, but since they are for animals, different rules apply – see CLP Regulation EC No. 1272/2008. According to the authorities, we are legally obliged to put warning symbols on our products, which we naturally follow. The pH value in our products is adapted to dogs, and therefore they do not have the same effect on humans – but if they did, we would undoubtedly use them ourselves.
Do the products contain sulfate?
You may have heard the debate about sulfates. Sulfates are 100% natural, plant-based cleansers that are biodegradable. They help remove oil, grease and dirt from the skin and create the white bubbles that many people associate with shampoo. We have chosen to use a mild sulfate called Mipa Laureth Sulfate because it is gentle and suitable for daily use. The sulfate comes from RSPO-certified palm and coconut oil.
Why doesn't the shampoo foam?
If you already use our products, you may have noticed that the shampoo doesn’t lather much. The purpose of the wash is to remove grease, oil and dirt that can make your dog smell or look dirty and can irritate the skin. Milder detergents produce fewer bubbles, but still clean effectively – and preserve the skin’s natural moisture. We don’t use more detergent than necessary to gently clean your dog. Less bubbles, less mess.
Are the products tested on animals?
No, our products are not tested on animals. On the contrary, they are vegan and we ensure that none of the ingredients are tested on animals.
Do the products contain perfume?
Yes – we think all dogs deserve to be cuddled 24/7, and smelling good only makes it easier! We call it the cuddle guarantee . We use synthetic perfume as it allows us to control the scent 100% and keep the amount to a minimum. The products are free from the 26 declarable allergenic fragrances that the EU recommends avoiding.
Where are the care products produced?
We are proud to say that our products are made in Denmark.
