Here you will find suggestions for collars, harnesses and clothing for dogs of the mixed breed Cockerpoo. There is no standard size for Cockerpoo, as it is a mixed breed – a combination of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle. The size depends mainly on the size of the Poodle that is part of the mix.
Most Cockerpoos we meet in Hunni weigh 8–14 kg. Our recommendations are based on these measurements. However, it is always a good idea to double-check the size guide on the individual product.
Remember – you can always return or exchange for a different size in Hunni, regardless of whether you buy in the webshop or in the store.
Dog collar for cockerpoo
When choosing a collar for your Cockerpoo, the coat can have a big impact on what is best suited. The coat texture varies greatly because the breed is a mix of medium-long smooth Cocker coat and fine curly Poodle coat.
If your dog has fine, curly fur (more like a poodle), we recommend a smooth/soft or round-stitched collar that reduces matting and knots.
See round-stitched collars here
Most cockerpoos use size Small or Medium - but always see the specific collar size guide under each individual product.
If your cockerpoo has a coat similar to a cocker spaniel's, you can choose from most collars. However, be aware of the pulling on the leash - many cocker spaniels (and therefore cockerpoos) are active and can pull.
If your dog pulls on the leash, we recommend a harness or a wide collar to protect the neck.
Dog harnesses for cockerpoo
As with collars, the texture of the coat also plays a role when choosing a harness. If your dog has very fine fur that tangles easily, it is best to have as little surface area as possible.
The soft cotton harnesses from Drew's Dogwear fit really well here.

We also have very good experience with the Dog Copenhagen harnesses for curly dogs.

If your cockerpoo has a coat that leans more towards the cocker spaniel, you generally have more options. If your dog is eager and pulls, the Dog Copenhagen or Cloud7 AKTIV harness is a really good choice.

Dog blanket, raincoat, sweater and winter jacket for cockerpoo
Cockerpoos are typically long and slender, so clothing can quickly become too wide if it fits in length. Since poodles do not have an undercoat, most cockerpoos need clothing during the cold and wet months to keep warm and avoid hypothermia.
Clothes for cockerpoos should therefore be both long and relatively narrow.
The rain and winter jackets from Paikka have many adjustment options and fit many cockerpoos well. Go for size 30, 35 or 40 depending on your dog's back length.

Cloud7 makes beautiful rain and winter jackets in many fits and colors. If your dog is extra short and long, you can see models specifically for dachshunds here . A cockerpoo will typically fit a size 5 or 6 in Cloud7 – but the models vary, so always check the size guide on the specific jacket.

Are you unsure if your dog is cold? Keep an eye on it:
- shivering or not wanting to go out in cold/wet weather
- sighs / grumbles if you stand still
- looking for a lot of contact to get up
Another indicator is whether it has an undercoat – if the dog does not shed, it often lacks an undercoat and is therefore more likely to freeze.
