Leashes for puppies
When choosing a leash or dog leash for your puppy, it’s important to choose one that isn’t too heavy. Neither the carabiner nor the leash itself must be too big for your puppy. We recommend that you wait with a flexi leash (the ones that can unroll) until your puppy has learned to walk nicely on a regular dog leash.

Dog leash for puppies
Dog leashes for puppies are lightweight and sometimes shorter and narrower than other dog leashes. You should use the puppy leash when you go for walks and puppy training. With a dog leash, you can teach your puppy to walk nicely on a leash and make contact more quickly if your puppy is easily distracted on a walk.

How long should a puppy leash be?
Choose a dog leash that is not too long. The length of your puppy leash should be the same length when you go for walks, so your puppy learns to walk on the leash without pulling. You can use an adjustable dog leash, but at first you should adjust it to the same length every time.
Dog leash for large puppies
For large puppies, you can choose a dog leash that is slightly wider and heavier in size. That way, you can use the leash for longer until the puppy is fully grown. For a large puppy, this would typically be a size medium or large.
Dog leash for small puppies
If you have a very small puppy, you may want to choose a classic leash instead of an adjustable one. The smaller the length of the puppy leash, the lighter it will be. For a small puppy, you would typically choose a size extra-small or small.
