Ideas to celebrate your dog’s birthday

To some, celebrating a dog’s birthday may sound crazy, but no one deserves to be celebrated like your dog. We’ve put together 5 ideas on how to celebrate your dog and give them the best day ever.

Birthday meal

For many dogs, the way to their heart is through delicious food. We’ve come up with suggestions for delicious treats, a real feast and, of course, birthday chews.

I treat my dog to extra smelly/stimulating chews on his birthday that I might not normally have in my apartment. But once a year doesn’t hurt.

A walk on the beach or in the forest

A social activity

If you can be a little extra at home, then it’s surely already great in your dog’s eyes.
If you have an active dog and the opportunity to take it out for exercise, this will also be something that makes the day extra awesome. There is, among other things, a training track in Farum, which you can rent with a trainer – it’s called Equility Hundehal, and it’s definitely worth a visit. Otherwise, just fill up your treat bag and head out to the park and jump on benches, logs, or anything else fun you come across on your way.

Birthday present

The big question is what to get your dog for his birthday. There are many choices.
You can go classic and choose something they need, such as a new collar or a nice dog bed (also a gift for yourself). You can also take a different approach and give your dog something that it clearly understands is the gift for it – it could be a teddy bear, a ball or a tasty treat.

For some dogs, it’s a real celebration when guests arrive, while others stress or are otherwise uncomfortable with people in the house. The same applies to other dogs on the property.
A dog birthday party for the best people in your dog’s life, or their best canine friend, can also be something if you and your dog can relax and enjoy it.
